The Children's Program offers workshops and performances in drama, music and dance, introducing them to masks and traditional costumes. Children experience first hand, the mystery of the "talking drum" and wonder of sounds produced from instruments such as metal, wood, bamboo, chants, rattles and bells. Children participate in plays adapted from African myths and folktales. There is one major production each year.
Additional Productions: Moremi Theatre Ensemble (18 and over) offers two productions each year, of plays by African playwrights. The theatre also offers a concert series with featured African musicians and performers. Moremi was a Yoruba heroine who sacrificed her son for the survival of the people of Ile-Ife.
